The diaspora registration process has [...]
The diaspora registration process began in 2014, and according to preliminary results published days ago by the Diaspora Ministry by the end of 2016, a total of 342 thousand of Kosovars living abroad have been recorded.
The Diaspora ministry has also seen the registration process complete in 2022.
But Jahja Luka sees the diaspora registration process as a failure and budget spending.
Luka in a proposal for Kosova Prees, has said that the time when it is envisioned to complete the diaspora census is ridiculous and that this process can be done in Kosovo.
He further said that the diaspora registration process could be completed during the Kosovo population census, and, according to him, the reason why it was not conducted during the population census is not allowing Eurostat.
The head of the diaspora Department for the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Jahja Luka, said the Government of Kosovo, with the new 700 thousand euros mandate coming from exiles to Kosovo, should channel investment in order to provide fellow countrymen with opportunities to open up new jobs, invest in Kosovo through the opening of small and medium-sized businesses and thus create prospects for Kosovo youth.
He added that those as the Alliance have created good opportunities to invest diasporas in the town of Suhareka, and have facilitated the registration process during their four-year leadership mandate in this municipality.
