US MPs have protested the new code of dress in Congress and new state institutions, saying they live in 2017 and not in 1817.
This is 2017, not 1817.
With this motto, a group of U.S. deputies protested to protect the right of being present at the convention with their uncovered wings. Many have received attention because their dress violates old rules that no longer apply.
And that's why they require a new regulation.
Lucille Roybal-Allard in her account on Twitter published a photo from the protest where female deputies are standing on the scale in a group photo and show naked arms.
Nancy Pelos, who was the only woman to have conducted the congress in the country's history, also wrote in her twitter account that old rules should be resurfaced as soon as possible.
The dress code stops, among other things, and naked arms for men or clothes without a jacket, as well as open shoes or shoes.
Many US MPs have complained that they have been taken off the advice of their dress, while for the same reason some journalists have not been allowed to enter the area where the media meet with politicians.
Rules management has been handed over to the security team in Congress under the supervision of the chairman of Congress Paul Ryan. It is the latter who has declared that the regulation should be modernised, but the dress in these institutions should remain appropriate.
