Michel Barnier predicts to launch preliminary talks on future trade agreements in the month of October this year, but on the condition that the satisfactory <x0-progress” be achieved until negotiations on the terms of divorce with London, launched in June, the AFP reports.
This condition now seems difficult to meet because of lack of progress on the thorny issue of financial commitments London must face the EU, officially assessed between 60 billion euros and 100 billion euros on the European side.
