The lifeless bodies of 8 illegal immigrants, including two children, were found in a trailer parked near a supermarket in San Antonio, Texas.

In the container, the police found 30 others, 20 of whom were hospitalised, in serious condition.

Local police chief William McManus said there were about 40 people in the vehicle. Order forces intervened after signaling from a nearby supermarket employee who had been asked for water by a person entering the truck.
