Conjufca: Kadri Wessel to Fail as Lack of Vote

The election of the Speaker of the Parliament is necessary for the continuation of other Assembly Constitution procedures and for the beginning of the phase for forming the new government.

In order for the process of forming institutions not to be blocked, as solution, Vetevendosje and LDK offer the coalition PAN, including the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and the Initiative to propose another candidate for the Parliament's chairman.

Glauk Konjufca from the Vetevendosje Movement says Kadri Wessel will fail if he run for lack of votes.

The Vetevendosje Movement will vote against Kadri Veselin for head of the Parliament, but we are willing to examine other names that could be proposed”, says Konjufca, for the REL.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has called the Constitutional Assembly session for August 3rd. There, MPs are expected to swear and elect the chairman and five vice-presidents of this institution.

From the moment of the Assembly binding, there is a 15-day period for the formation of the new government.
