On October 22nd, Kosovo voters will be able to cast their vote for the first municipality.

Even in these elections, as in early ones, the CEC's appeal and other campaign monitoring bodies is not to violate the rules of the election process.

For this, the Election Commission for Anxiety and Parashtre has drafted a guide on how citizens can complain if they see any violations of candidates or parties during local elections, and what are the possible penalties for these violations, writes Indexline.

The political companies competing in elections are barred from taking actions that are contrary to the Code of Goodwill and violating legal provisions, including CEC regulations. Rule no. 012012 on the Categories of Punishment and Fines determines the sentences possible for election violations. PZAP imposes heavier fines for political subjects which are represented in Kosovo's Kovedin, compared to subjects not represented in the Assembly”, this PZAP guide says.

Denies for prohibited actions on political subjects amount to up to 50,000 euros.
The subx0> Person who holds a public position, the selected or designated person cannot use that office or any of that office's assets with the aim of winning votes. None of the sources of public administration institutions, whether central or local level, or even any enterprise owned or controlled by the central or local authorities, can be exploited or put in favour of any political subject in the election” reportedly in the banned action for the Public Service, which is sentenced to as much as 50,000 euros.

Using or threatening violence of any kind by political subject, members, supporters or their candidates is strictly prohibited according to the PZAP guide.

For political subjects represented in the Assembly, the fine is between 5 and maximum to 20 thousand euros.

For political subjects not represented in the Assembly, however, it is up to 10,000 euros.

Political parties or candidates for mayors should be careful not to use violence against subjects or other candidates, as this is punishable by PZAP at the maximum of 50,000 euros.

Forbidden actions were not fined only thousands of euros. P The ZAP has also seen prison sentences if illegal prevents a person from running for election.

This act is sentenced to prison for up to a year.

If that threatens the candidate or uses force against him, however, the boss is sent to prison for six months to three years.

And if someone illegally prevents the person from voting, does not register it on a voter's list, or removes it from that list, he will be sentenced to one year to three years in prison.

And for the counterfeiting of the voting results, in the case conducted by a CEC member or one of his positions during the election, the sentence is in advance from 3 years to 5 years. /Indesksonline
