Kurt wrote about why this day, except for the French people, was important to all peoples of the world.
This is Albin Kurti's post:
On July 14, 1789, Paris's citizens, along with the revolting military, attacked Bastija Prison, where many political prisoners of the absolute imperial regime were held. Their revolutionary attack was victorious, and shortly after those days France legally ended feudadalism and promoted as a law “Declaration on Human and Citizen Rights”, thereby establishing the modern republic.
Aristocracy can have the protege of good “”, but in fact it was the rule of the few, the feudals, and the exception of many. Thus, revolutionary rebellion was needed to establish the republic, with universal participation of all the people who were disfellowshipped as citizens.
Since that glorious time France respects not only the day of the attack on the Bastija prison but also the revolutionary slogan “Leari, Equality, Brotherhood”, as well as the personification of the revolution itself in the image of a woman, Marianna, who has since appeared in the French republican emblems as the personification of freedom and reason.
Today, in the 20th century, the French Republican ideal continues to stand as an example for many countries where the pact is still unjust and oppressed as in feudalism.
So once again, we who devote ourselves to republic and democracy, for freedom and for reasons, for equality of brotherhood, wish the French the 14th of July.
