Kosovo's prime ministerial candidate, Albin Kurti, has commemorated police officer Enver Zymberi, who was killed in office six years ago by strangers during the Kosovo police action to establish law and order in northern Mitrovica.
Kurti says Hashim Thaci, then prime minister, interrupted the action for the establishment of the order and law.
Kurti's complete scripture:
Six years ago, on July 25th 2011, Kosovo police officer Enver Zymber was killed at the helm.
Enver Zymber was a member of special forces. He was killed in an action aimed at establishing rule of law in the north of our country.
The circumstances of Enver Zymber's murder, as well as the author or authors of his murder, are still unknown today.
The then prime minister, Thaci, discontinued the action on establishing order and law in the north of our country, even though he has said big words. He also abandoned the Zymber case by surrendering to criminals and not finding the culprits.
Enver Zymber is not a victim. He's a martyr of our Republic. The criminal organization that killed him is responsible for taking the country's north. We today respectfully commemorate Enver Zymber, determined to bring his killer before trial, determined not to allow a Kosovo government to alliance with the political structures responsible for that murder.
