So began the 18-year battle of Shyhrete Berisha

Of all the victims in the truck, only Shyhrete Berisha had survived. She had managed to stay alive, to overcome other potentially deadly challenges until the end of the war.

But the war, for Shyhrete Berisha, was not over.

She had lost her husband and four children who had been brutally murdered by the forces of the Serbian army, and she knew that she lost her home.

Her struggle to obtain her property rights ended in June 2017, but she had it in 2000.

Director Agim Sopi's documentary, “Beyond Death” in which Shyhrete Berisha gives her first confession of her family's tragedy, documents many facts confirming her struggle.

As over the still fresh ruins at the site where the massacre occurred, Berisha relates how he survived, in the documentary it also shows the fact that she has been homeless.

Initially, there had been problems with the OSCE. This mission had usurped her home, but later in this house Shyhrete Berisha would not allow her, her brother-in-law, her husband's brother, who was forced by the Court on Thursday to give half the house and half the other two properties.

His confession of Shyhrete Berisha for the battle in this documentary is extremely sensitive.

The OSCE official tells her that for this she must resolve with her family.

It then says something that would later verify the entire judicial process to obtain property rights, which Shyhrete Berisha was denied precisely because he has no heir from his husband's family.

I couldn't have had that kid left me on the street, nobody could have told me it wasn't your home.
