It has also announced that preparations from Syria are similar to those undertaken prior to this year's April 4th attack, which killed many.
Following that attack, US President Donald Trump ordered the launch of a missile attack on a Syrian air base.
“As we have stated before, the United States is in Syria to destroy the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria,” said US spokesman Sean Spicer.
If Syrian President Bashar al-Assad launches another assault on mass murder using chemical weapons, he and his army will pay a heavy price”.
Trump had ordered the air strike during April after he had said, the chemical weapons attack was carried out by the Assad government.
At least 70 people were killed in this attack.
Syria continues to deny this charge.
These attacks brought Washington into line with Russia, which has supported Assad in air strikes in his six-year civil war.
