The Valley of Presevo is expected to establish the Union of Business for bilateral co-operation and ease of doing business in Bujanoc, Medvedja and Presevo.
No more than 300 small and medium-sized businesses operate in this three-way, although they face various problems as a result of political barriers.
Businessman from Bujanovac, Gafurr Fazliu, says in an interview for Kosova Prees that the biggest business problem is the issue of undeveloped documentations and municipalities, which are not sparking interest in foreign investment.
He said he has recently had interest in a Kosovo company to open a production line in the Valley, but because of political barriers he has stayed.
“As far as the union is concerned, we are in the upper form of a Business Union in Bujanoc, and very soon we have moved to Presevo, Medvedja to make a Union of the Valley, which will be represented also in the Economic Ode of Serbia, in the Economics of Kosovo and in Albania for more genuine and easier co-operation”, Fazliu said.
He has said that through the Union of Business they will manage to overcome these political barriers, caused by Serbia's authorities.
There's a lot of political barriers mentioned, we're fully aware that it's an obstacle, but I believe that very quickly across businesses are going to exceed them. I extend an invitation to all businesses that have open access to a business, a production in the Valley to come there with invested because we are a bit back in that direction”, he stressed.
According to him, there is no favourable climate to invest in the Valley, because they cannot even be suppliers of goods throughout the region of Serbia, because nationalism in Serbs still exists and boycott Albanian products.
“Exists upon us nationalism we can send merchandise to Serb countries and send, but still the nationalist section” exists, he stressed.
Fazliu as the owner of a company in Bujanoc has 50 employees.
