Vuciq: Only then can Kosovo gain seats in the UN

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has said he thinks it is impossible for Kosovo to gain seats in the United Nations Organisation, unless any kind of historic agreement is reached with which Serbs would be satisfied. “So it is absolutely unacceptable”, Vuciq said in an interview for the festive number [...]
“So it is absolutely unacceptable”, Vuciq said in an interview for the partial number of Serbian daily “Vecernje Novosti”.
Vuciq has said it would be good to finally resolve the Kosovo “node by the end of 2018, but has added he is not optimistic about reaching an agreement with Albanians.
I still think that the chances for an acceptable mutual agreement are less than five percent. But also for agreement within Serbia, between us. It is virtually impossible to resolve this issue without the involvement of the major powers”, said Vuciq, broadcast Koha.net.
He has said he knows he will be identified by a large part of the Serbian people from the first moment a eventual compromise with Albanians would be reached, but he thinks that in 20 years it would be appreciated.
When I walk the streets, some tell me, another screams, other guys, radical cowboys. But everyone somehow hopes and waits for Vuciqi to solve this, that all cars with heavy loads put on my back, and knowing that this is good, say how this is a disaster for our national interest. Above all, the historical thing would be reaching an agreement with Albanians, and this without conflicts”, Vuciq said in this interview.
If we do that, “would be very proud of it” regardless of how “s would be politically tried at this time” because, as he says, “I think how this will be interpreted in the future”.
