According to polling companies, Putin's popularity in Russia is largely, as 80 per cent of the Russian population love it and adopt it as the country's leaders.
Vladimir Putin has been in charge of the Russian state apparatus effectively since 2000. He had come to power after Boris Yelts' resignation, while between 2008 and 2012 he had been the country's prime minister before returning to the presidency. /Periscope.
