Vjosa River level on the rise, evacuations in Fier, Vlora

The army is removing residents and living things from areas that have been flooded before. Electricity is missing in many areas.

The forecasts are that during the hours of the night the events will increase, while the Emergency Staff in Fieri County reports that it has evacuated 1500 residents in the Ferra villages of Cherven, while so far, 180 hectares of agricultural land is under water.

In Vlora, following special operations, rescue teams have evacuated 25 other families, this time from Novosela Farm. The head of this administrative unit, Canan Shakaj, has stated that the move has been taken to save the living thing. According to him, there are about 7 thousand head of livestock that are posted toward areas considered safe, such as Mifo, Ackerny, and Fragle. Meanwhile, river flows coming from Permeti that can affect Novosela Farm have risen over 15cm, and the clocks of the night are expected to be the most difficult in every respect.

The Sport Palace in Vlora is prepared to accommodate the evacuees who are threatened by floods.

Civil Emergency head Shemsy Precinz declared from Vlora that at 6:00, the situation is expected to be difficult. “It's an alarm for all residents to be careful not to approach the map that was touched in 2015. 

According to the IGEUM, the most endangered regions of flooding today and tomorrow are Fier and Vlora.
