The best life for all citizens of the country indiscriminately is made only by agreeing to co-existence, co-operation and partnership between themselves. Thus has Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said at the meeting of the Consultative Council for Communities.
The head of state has added that dialogue among all communities in Kosovo is his priority.
I am pleased to find that during this year we have managed to promote even more dialogue among communities. It's worth mentioning here the establishment of the Preparation Team for the Commission for Truth and Atonement. This institution will promote dialogue between Kosovo communities and will commit to closing the war chapter for all communities. The best life is built by agreeing to co-existence, for co-operation, for partnership among all of us”, Thaci said.
He has also supported the Community Consultative Council's request for a surplus budget. Until he has invited all communities to become part of preparations for marking the 10th anniversary of independence because Kosovo is home to all.
This party will be a celebration for all of us. I invite you to become part of preparations for marking this important date for Kosovo citizens. The communities are our property. We are proud to have built a state on the principles of equality and guaranteed rights for all communities. These rights are guaranteed with the Constitution of Kosovo referring to all relevant international documents for the protection and promotion of all communities. Kosovo is home to all its citizens
The head of the Municipal Consultative Council, Gazmen Salijevic, has estimated that 2017 has been one of the best for this council, though they still continue to face numerous challenges like communities.
I have to stress that besides this successful year we, even further, as representatives of communities face challenges that even members of our communities face. Lack of literature, textbooks for Bosniaks, Turks are still a problem after these years of existence of this council. The challenges of employment, integration, co-existence still remain. What encourages us in our work, there is hope and sound communication with the mayor's office and the president himself who must continue to communicate with relevant institutions”, Salijevic said.
Lendri Celi from the Egyptian community has informed about the situation this community is in.
The Egyptian community in recent months and today is facing challenges in the health area where the measles epidemics that have engulfed the Egyptian community, Roma and Ashkalije, where even a child lost his life for the absence of major drugs... ..the challenge for the Egyptian community is that of disobeying the civil servants' law with which at least 10 percent are employed by communities as civil servants, this community still has only 14 employees that this law is not respected by the Ministry for the Comteun and Khim, with whom we have employed by the Egyptian community. Unfortunately, even at the presidency”, the cell stressed.
Lazar Radulovic from the Bosniak community stressed that communities in Kosovo have the same problems, but he has cited the challenges and challenges facing the community he represents.
And they are the lack of textbooks seen in Bosniak, economic direction in Prizren has not been functional, even though long-term budgetary tools have been provided and quality curriculum has been engaged. The problem of nostriking diplomas, the problem of non-fulfilling the 10 per cent mass employment of minorities hits us Bosnians”, he said.
Other members of this Council have also praised the work of this Council, but also the challenges facing communities
