Thaci, Haradinaj and Wessel must resign

Former Kosovo diplomat Lulzim Peci, on the “Rubikon” show of KTV, has said that the attempt to abolish the Special Court has been the most wrong step of Kosovo policy since 1999 and has demanded the resignation of leaders, Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin of Ramush Haradinaj.

Peci on the show has said that since Friday, when the abolition of the Special Court has been attempted, Kosovo is not seen the same by the international community.

“I think this has been the most wrong step of Kosovo politics after 1999. We have voted as parliament, constitutional changes have been approved, and in states that the government is changed and international agreements are not respected, then these states are seen as Batak states and non-Serb states”, Peci said.

With our intensity we've brought ourselves to this point. Since Friday, Kosovo is not the same in the eyes of the international community. We have shown the interest that we can work behind their” back, he added.

Peci on the “Robikon” show of KTV, following the attempt to abolish the Special Court, has demanded Hashim Thaci's resignation, Kadri Veselin and Ramush Haradinaj.

“Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hashim Thaci, on February 3rd of 2016, has signed the agreement with the Netherlands on establishing this court. Kosovo must be taught to respect international agreements”, the former ambassador has said.

“The EU in 2015 has taken the position of 200m euros being allocated to the Special Court, this year 66.6m euros have been spent. We've been negotiating all these steps with the international community. With this effort, the three leaders have lost credibility for Kosovo's representation both inside and outside. The best choice is to resign. The unforgivable mistake on their part”, Peci said.
