We have often heard about socio-economic goods from Nordic states where Sweden is most often mentioned as a state that brings different possibilities to all residents living there.

Of many things that we cannot sum up in one place, we've decided to bring you some interesting facts about Sweden.

1. Since 1800, the shrimp (cräftskiva) has been known in Sweden. Fishermen in 2013 have seized 186,000 pounds, with most of them eaten in traditional celebrations during August.

2. In Sweden there are 20,000 residents of the Sami minority where since 1993 they have their own parliament, and in 2000 the language of Sami has been officially accepted.

3. Every day at 313 IKEA furniture stores worldwide, about 1,86,000 meatballs have been eaten mostly by Germans, as they are the most frequent guardians of this chain of stores.

4. Since 1901, 561 nobel awards have been awarded, the award is the legacy of dynamite inventor Alfred Nobel.

5. In Sweden, 48 % of energy production comes from renewable sources. where nearly 95% of it comes from hydropower plants.

6. Sweden has won 625.5 Olympic medals, where 475.5 come from the summer Olympic games, while 150 of those winters. A gold medal has been shared with Denmark.

7. Each month, about 93,000kg of food waste is collected in Stockholm, and this food is converted into fuel (benzia), producing 115 000 m3 m, which the Stockholm buses and taxis use as fuel.

8. Sweden has about 9.7 million inhabitants, where 23% of them are under 20 years of age and 15% are born in another country, GSH follows.

9. About 300,000 to 400,000 deer roam the Swedish forests, despite the fact that 100,000 of them are killed during the annual hunt involving some 250,000 people.

10. Swedish parents have a right to use 480 days of paid vacation for child care where 60 days are reserved for fathers.
