Suma shows how mayor was elected three times as an independent candidate without a campaign

In the recent local elections held in Kosovo, on October 22nd, in Elez's Hani municipality, it has been elected, for the third time, to the head of this Rufki Suma municipality. He is not a member of any political party and the three mandates Suma has won, not only as an independent candidate, but [...]
He is not a member of any political party and the three mandates Suma has won, not only as an independent candidate, but without developing any election campaign at all.
But how did Mr. Suma do that? Speaking to Radio Free Europe, he says he has made it the opposite that, according to him, have made the candidates for mayors of other Kosovo municipalities. He has made no promises.
The citizens of Elez's Khan have seen that we, on no warrant, have made no promise. But, in fact, we've been able to realise all the demands that have been of citizens and that we've been able to make. So, it means, no need. The citizen wants to have a candidate, a speaker who does not promise but who realises”, he says.
Elez's Hani has all the asphalted roads and Cuban alleys not only in the urban area but also in all the villages of this municipality. Each road has public enlightenment.
The education sector in this municipality is presented in a very good state, with schools having new inventorys, with good conditions for students, and each teaching room has its own projector. Also, for each teacher in Elez's Hani municipality, the municipality has provided its own laptop-top.
Elez's municipality mayor, Suma, points out that the environmental pollution level problem, which in this municipality has been high due to the cement factory, has already dropped significantly. According to him, however, problems remain: water security, as well as employment, for which the municipality is powerless, he says.
Even those candidates, even those citizens, who usually vote, come and say president, we vote, so we want to hire. However, we cannot employ tens of thousands of people because the municipality is not a factory, it does not produce. But the municipality performed citizens' services. But we try to make sure that under different projects, by finding different donors, we offer them projects, especially in the soil of agriculture, so that citizens can work on their own, open up new businesses and thus support the” family, Suma says.
Arlinda Calis from this municipality estimates there are no better counter-Candids than Mr. Suma, for mayor of the municipality where she lives:
We don't have better mayor than Mr. Suma. He has given Elez's Khan and the district another look. It's worth everything to give him a vote, not just three times, but three more times”.
Shefki Suma from Hani Elez, says that during the past two mandates, the current mayor of the municipality has shown a diligent worker and has responded to citizens' demands:
“is a comprehensive man. He's a man of this people, and they're dealing with everything.
Mendu Rechi, also from Hani Elez, points out that everyone can understand the reason for Suma's choice of citizens for the first community, if they remember what Han of Elez once was like, and what is today:
In the earliest hours of the morning, he's at work. He's able to meet a child, talk to him, cry about his troubles with him, a pensioner, a humble peasant. His modesty, therefore, has caused him to be chosen for the third time. Even if you want, of course, the will will will be for the fourth term. The people give this back to”
Elez's Hanini has about 10,000 inhabitants and is the most extreme southern Kosovo municipality.
