Serbia will begin construction next year of the first section of the so-called Nis-Pristina-Durture Peace Highway, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic declared.
”The Nis-Pocnik section is 36km long, while the entire project costs 212m euros”, Mihajlovic said, adding that financial data was still preliminary.
This section will be built with the help of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (BERZH)”, she added.
Mihajlovic said the documentation project was financed by the Western Balkan Fund.
There is no road that is not significant for Serbia. This road means connection to the region. Serbia has no sea, and that is why it needs to port”, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said.
