Former Prime Minister Nenad Rassic, who is head of the Serbian Progressive Party, has said that the Kosovo and Serbian sides do not have the will to work in terms of forming the Serb-run municipality Association. According to him, by the middle of next year there will be no meetings regarding the issue.
Although the agreement on establishing the Association of Serb-run municipalities was signed more than two years ago still no deadlines are known when the founding of this community will begin. Despite the ongoing demands of Serbian representatives that the Association be formed as soon as possible, the Kosovo government has not indicated when this will happen. On the contrary, executives (not showing) have said that association will be formed in an opimal term. On the other hand, while representatives of Belgrade and the Serbian List in Kosovo are continuing to raise it as a matter of association, representatives of other Serb parties in Kosovo consider that these statements are being made only for media consumption. They even say determined that by the next half of next year there will be no meeting between the parties for this agreement and let alone its finalization, writes “Zer”.
On the other hand, while representatives of the movement “Movement” define this agreement as unconstitutional, LDK representatives estimate the new government has failed over the issue of the Serb Communist Community.
Government: Association, in opital terms
The Kosovo government, not showing when the Association of Serb Majorities will be established, has said such a thing will be done on the basis of the Constitutional verdict. “will be established on the opital deadline and on the basis of the Kosovo Constitutional Court verdict”, the government's response given “Zerit” is said briefly.
Meanwhile, Serbia's prime minister, Anna Brnabiq, has been the one who, a few days ago, in Brussels, has called for the formation of the Serbian Major Assembly Association. That is what Brnabyq has made known after his meeting there (with the prime ministers of the Western Balkans and with EU Diplomacy chief Frederick Moghrin).
