President Thaci: I'm not afraid of Special Court (Video)

In an interview for RTV Dukagjini, Kosovo president said signatures of Parliament deputies must be taken seriously

Thaci reiterated that Parliament's decisions would be precise respect.

“No one is encouraging, but I firmly sign and sign the decision of the Kosovo Parliament. If this initiative were illegal and against justice, I would be the first to refuse it. In 2015, I've been accused of starting the foundation, now talking about other things, I don't care about the speculating world. I stand behind the full respect of the constitution and legitimacy of the Republic of Kosovo and guarantee of democratic and normal functioning, but also contributing to political unity”.

According to him, the MP initiative is not an attempt to abolish the Special, but an alternative that enables the treatment of all crimes in Kosovo.

I have seen no one's attempts to undo the Special Court. As for the things you build, I don't believe anyone in Kosovo knows. Under no circumstances do I fear the Special Court. The dignity and pride of my fight from the first rifle against Serbia until the making of free and independent Kosovo, there is no process that can hurt and affect”.

Speaking of Demarkation, President Thaci said that during the month of January, it will be discussed at the political and institutional level, in order to complete this process.

“If this does not happen during January, then President Juncker's report will be of no avail to the citizens of Kosovo, which implies continuing to isolate citizens from the European Union”.

According to him, the agreement with Montenegro on border demarcation, reached in 2015, is clear, but the integration possibilities of any eventual idea must be seen.

The August Agreement is clear, accurate, acceptable to the International Community, but we have to look at all the possibilities of integrating any idea, or alternative opportunities that can come out of people”.

The agreement, Thaci continued, cannot go to the Arbitrazhi Court, as Montenegro refuses.

Thaci, further on, stressed that he expects from Serbia to recognise Kosovo, otherwise dialogue in Brussels has no meaning. The talks, in another form, hinted he would lead, saying that Kosovo's foreign and political policy, according to the Constitution, leads the president.
