The opposition-related group, which monitors victims on all sides of the conflict, said that there are 2,923 Syrian government soldiers among those killed, as well as 7,494 militants.
This year, the number of victims is smaller compared to 2016, when the observer recorded 49,742 killed by violence in Syria.
Civil war in Syria began in March 2011 with antigovernmental protests.
In total, over 400,000 people were killed in combat.
The conflict has also displaced millions.
