Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has been portrayed as a formidable leader of a small state by Lord George Robertson, Britain's Defence Secretary in 1997-1999 and Secretary General NATO during 1999-03.
In the book “State, Modern Stateman: Hashim Thaci A Biography” of two famous editors in the newspaper “SETimes”, which also contains opinions of key world figures, former secretary NATO has said Hashim Thaci has been at the stage of the Kosovo drama.
Former Secretary of Defense NATO has said that Thaci's journey has been filled with stories, not only of the extraordinary past, but also of a hopeful future.
“Hashim Thaci has been at the stage of the Kosovo drama, which would also dominate the last year of the 20th century. With the passage of a fiery dissident student to commander of the KLA and then to prime minister and president of his state, his journey has been filled with events and occasionally counter-uttering. However, Kosovo today continues to be an open question, and this is the genuine story of a formidable leader of a small state, with a long list of stories not only of the past but also of a hopeful future”, Robertson says among other things in this book.
Editors of the paper “SETimes”, Roger Boys and Suzy Jagger, are the authors of the biography for Thaci, which will have over 300 pages.
Book “State, Modern Stateman: Hashim Thaci A Biography”, is written only in English and has so far been sold only online.
The book's printed version is expected to be released in January.
