The Democratic League of Kosovo, the revote process in the Istog municipality, considers it a regular process, while demanding that responsible bodies complete all the initial legal procedures for the declaration and certificate of results in order to complete this extended election process as soon as possible.
The LDK with deep concern is conveying the tremendous pressure that is being done to independent constitutional bodies such as the CEC and PZAP, whose members have even been threatened by <x0m prison” from Prime Minister Haradinaj's party and by its appointed members, said in the communique.
The Democratic League of Kosovo considers these actions unacceptable, even praising them as actions that seriously violate the constitutional and democratic order in the Republic of Kosovo.
Once The LDK praises high the support of Istog citizens for its candidate, Haki Rugova, and warns that it will not allow the integrity of the election process, which according to all estimates was fair, free and democratic.
Otherwise, Haki Rugova in the race for revote for the first Istog came out winning 14 votes more than his counter-Candidate from AAK ranks, Gani Dresaj.
The elections in Istog have been repeated last Sunday following irregularities it held in the run-off race on November 19th.
