Journal killed at his son's school

A Mexican journalist was shot dead while attending a Christmas party at his son's elementary school.

Gumaro Pérez Aguilando, 35, was killed on Tuesday in Acayucan in the state of Veracruz, the BBC writes.

He was a founder of the La Voz del Sur news page and had been under state protection due to high crime reporting risks.
