The Central Election Commission certified today the final result of the revote for the mayor of Istog, under which Haki Rugova of LDK is chairman of Istog.
All members of the CEC, except for the Binak Vajti from AAK, have voted for the certificate in Istog.
With this Haki Rugova of the LDK is officially declared Istog chairman.
CEC Chairman Valdete Daka indicated that the local election process has also been completed with this certificate.
“Kandidati Haki Rugova from the political subject Democratic League of Kosovo has a total of 10,000 and 33 votes, or 50.03 per cent, and the candidate from the political subject Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Gani Dresaj 10 thousand and 19 votes or 49.97 per cent ... With eight votes for, one is found to have certified the result, and with that the process of local elections”, she said.
Daka also disclosed the statistics of how much they voted for this municipality.
“The statistics are, the number of registered voters 49 thousand 235, the number of voters who have voted in each polling 19 thousand and 869, the number of voters who have voted out of polling 505, voter turnout 41.88 per cent, the number of voters who have voted 20 thousand 52 voters, the number of invalid ballotes 139, the number of blank ballot papers 115, the number of balloting used 20 thousand and 202, the number of unused paperwork 24 thousand and 607, and the number of ballots damaged 111) she said.
The CEC has also replaced Kosovo Assembly deputies who have been elected mayors of municipalities.
Thus Mytaher Haskuka of Vetevendosje, who has been elected mayor of Prizren and Central Kastrat, who has become chairman of Kamenica, has replaced Shemsi Syla first, while the second, Sali Zyba.
Also, there has been the review and adoption of the request for replacement of Pristina and Rahoveci municipality members, where, in the latter, a member of the Afrem Berisha municipal assembly, who replaces Fatmir Iska from the AAK, has been appointed. Meanwhile in Pristina, Sehimi Sahiti replaces member Arben Vitita from Vetevendosje, Milot Podvorica replaces Genc Bashata, as well as has been named Sea Fish instead of Nora Kelmendi.
