Hristian Mickoski elected new president of OBRM-PUKM

Hristian Mickoski has been elected the new chairman of the OBRM-PUKM as the successor of Nikola Gruevski.

A total of 438 delegates to today's extraordinary Congress have voted 428. Invalid have been 52 votes, while 376 have voted “for” Mickoski, as the only candidate at the congress of this party, announces Telegrafi Macedonia.

“One thing is certain that I will give all my human and intellectual power for the benefit of my party and my people”, said President-elect Hristian Mickoski at the beginning of his speech to delegates.

“I see as positive the search for changes in the party statute as positive, democratic and not division and grief, as our party's enemies wanted to represent. O BRM-PAKAM is the deepest emotion of this nation's struggle for independence, O BRM-PAKAM is not only party headquarters, but every honest citizen of this state. Macedonia expects a time that requires energy and activity. The mirror for Macedonia is a country of shattered economies, with small investments, we have to invest in technology, development of entrepreneurship spirit, we will first fight to gain power, and then this high unemployment to reduce it to an acceptable percentage of below 10%, agricultural subsidies have to grow, education must produce framework that is competitive in the international market, quality health, lower the price of electricity, eliminate corruption<1>, Mickoski said.

He said he will prove that he is not someone's puppet, just as they wanted to represent different persons and groups, and that he himself is capable of bringing about important decisions and that his only opponent will be the LSDM, adding that he will fulfil the promises given to make the OBR- PUKM to the most powerful political party in the country and return it to power.
