Ahmet Plana, who has been a teacher for 35 years, is eager to adopt the Bill on the Teachers' Statistics for the 1990s.
This bill, which has not yet gone to the Commission for Education, plans to reward teachers who worked in that period, KTV reports.
Plana says that they worked with no interest at that time, but it is good for teachers to be rewarded.
In the 1990s, Kosovo citizens consistently made the contribution known then as “The 3 per centontre”, but Plana says the teachers have not received from even 10 German marks per month.
It has long been called for approval of this bill, which even in the past government mandate has been ready but has not been prosecuted further.
And, chairman of the United Education Union, Nundman Jasharaj, says to have received the consent of all parties in the country, that they will support this bill.
Jasharaj has said that in the Bill for Recognising the status of teachers of the 1990s, there will not be overlooked the contribution of teachers who have died and that salary will be enjoyed by a husband or a wife.
According to Jasaraw, the promise by the Ministry of Education is that in the first three-month of next year, this Bill will be adopted.
Education Ministry officials have announced that the bill has already been revised and sent to Government.
But the Bill of Education Commission has not yet been sent.
According to the chairman of the Commission for Education, Ishmael Kurteshi, they will in principle support the Bill after giving the necessary remarks.
According to SBASK officials, the number of teachers who worked in that period is not yet known correctly, but who to get that pension will have to get the necessary documents from the schools they worked at, and then August is expected to prove it.
