(8 years ago)Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan today urged his American counterpart, Donald Trump, to turn around without delay on his decision to recognise Jerusalem's capital of Israel, following a UN vote condemning that decision. “We look forward with great satisfaction to the oppressive support of the UN General Assembly in a historic resolution on Jerusalem”, Erdogan said in his Twitter account.
We expect the Trump administration to return without delay on its unfortunate decision, whose lawlessness was clearly determined during this vote”, the Turkish head of state added.
The UN General Assembly now widely adopted a resolution condemning recognition from Washington on December 6th of Jerusalem, the capital of Israel.
