The journalist from Brussels, Augustin Palocaj, has said in a column for the KOHA portal, that the condition of “Demarkation” was unfair to the EU, but in the event of approval in the Assembly, this would not imply that visas would be removed.
None of the other Balkan countries have had such a condition. Even, it is guaranteed that marking the border will not be a condition even for their entry into the EU. But as for Kosovo, The EU argues that the condition in question has been hired by Kosovo negotiators themselves. And that sort of explains the situation.
In the event of ratification of the deal, Palockaj expects visas not to be removed at least until the end of 2018, Pryscopi conveys.
Meanwhile, there is another condition that is very important: fighting corruption. Even as Palockaj notes, in Brussels there are major suspicions that corruption in Kosovo has not been fought sufficiently. He even goes further, saying that a new condition may be expected - the one for association.
