Members of the Commission for Border Marking with Montenegro have indicated that they are already in the finalisation of the report with their findings, which the Government of Kosovo is then expected to publish.
Florim Isufi, a member of this commission, has told the newspaper “Voice” that during their work they have managed to obtain new information and, as he said, surprisingly, without giving any details of what surprises are being made.
We have received new elements, which we will display in the report and certainly Government will publish. There are new things, not to say surprising”, is Isuffy said to “Zerin”, adding that the Commission will present the find as evidence to show whether the border line with Montenegro is well established, right.
While Kosovo Government officials have said further steps related to this agreement will be imposed on after the New Commission on Border Marking with Montenegro will hand over the final report.
The State Border Marking and Maintaining Commission is expected to hand over the report with its findings soon, and after that concrete steps will be taken”, the Kosovo Government Information Office says in response.
According to the country's executive, unless the solution is found, the agreement could be concluded at the International Court of Arbitrazh, though Montenegrin side approval is needed.
On the other hand, connoisseurs of political issues have estimated that demarcation cannot go to Arbitrazh unless Montenegro accepts this option.
