Fast intervention officials say about 8 thousand firefighters from over 10 countries are in California to help alleviate the flames with the help of helicopters and bulldozers.
The cost of the operation is estimated to be approximately $89 million.
Fire department officials said on Saturday that the fire that began in early December has now burned nearly 105 thousand acres, an area larger than several cities. Fire is thought to have been controlled by 40 percent, but officials say 18 thousand structures are endangered and strong winds can revive new flames
