Bird: OVLs manipulated by Thaci and Wessel once silenced them, now urge against Special

These organisations, after more than two years of approval of the constitutional amendments, which paved the way for the establishment of the Special Court, have raised a strong voice against the Special, calling it discriminating and insulting to Kosovo.

Zogaj considers OVL to be manipulated by President Hashim Thaci himself and president of The PDK, once Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Wessel.

According to him, as they manipulated the silence of these organisations in 2015 when the Special Mission in Kosovo was approved, they even now manipulate voice-making, because, according to him, Thaci himself has already changed his stance in relation to this court.

“I believe OVL or war-torn organizations, as they were orchestrated and manipulated in 2015, or even a little earlier when the Special Court discus before the vote, which were completely silent or with passive reactions, I believe will work today. Zogaj says Thaci had seen the Special's approval as concession to some agreements through which Kosovo could benefit, as is the establishment of the military, visa liberalisation and integration into important international organisations. Thus, according to him, Thaci may have changed his attitude.

And I believe that the same logic function even now, except that Mr. Thaci has completely changed his rhetoric to the Special Court. We also have the initiative to change the law of this court, perhaps the mission, not in ours, but in the form of how it worked. Kosovo risks slipping into an uncomfortable position, he says, where it is perceived as a state that wants to house potential criminals.
