Mercedes-Benz 770K Gross Open Tourer was used by the dictator in 1939 during Nazi parades.

Used by the leader of Nazi Germany during World War II, Mercedes was produced on Hitler's special orders and designed as guest lighter because it was used when heads of friendly states visited the country.

The car was first seen in public as it sent Hiteler to Old Chancellor Rach in October 1939.

It was also made public during a parade in Munich in 1940 when Italian dictator Benito Mussolini visited and later in the same year to celebrate his Nazi victory in France.

As it was built to accompany world leaders, 770K had a set of separate security measures.

Along with the 30mm-resistant glass in the front window, the engine is armoured in the body and under, as well as a rear mobile panel.

After the war, the car was seized by American forces and placed under the control and use of the American Army Military Police stationed at the military base in Le Havre, France.

Open Tourer later arrived in the United States, changing owners several times before it was sold to a European owner in 2004.
