He said the salary hike will take place by January and it will be according to economic growth.
“will have salary increases, salary increases will be in line with legislation in force, in line with economic growth and will begin by January 1st next year, and will benefit all employed people who earn salaries through Kosovo's budget. In addition to rising wages, we have discussed other social categories, where we have planned growth for 20 percent for all households in social assistance for the next year. We have also included three new social schemes, for those incapacitated”, said Minister Hamza.
Economics expert Naim Gashi claims for the Tribuna Channel that the decision to raise salaries only for the public sector and for social schemes has more electoral character and, as such, discriminates against the category of pensioners.
On the other hand, economics connoisseur Lulzim Beqiri said it is not right to discriminate against the category of pensioners and one of workers who work in the private sector to benefit from wage hikes.
This week there were statements that the state budget has increased for two billion.
