The Vetevendosje movement says the government of Ramush Haradinaj is showing the determination to follow the path of previous governments -- that of Thaci government and Mustafa.
In Vetevendosje's reaction following the arrest of deputies Albin Kurti, Donika Cajupi and Albulen Haxhiu, their arrest reportedly became violent as they went to attend the session.
Vetevendosje's full response:
MPs Albin Kurti, Albulen Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi have been arrested at the entrance to the Kosovo Parliament as they are going to attend the regular parliamentary session. Their arrest has been violent, with scrats also being used, by what have MPs and activists been hurt.
This arrest against our deputies due to the rejection of the agreement on demarcation with Montenegro and “Zayednica” is the continuation of the mind of the past government. With these arrests and persecutions against opposition MPs and activists, Ramush Haradinaj's government is showing its determination to follow the path of two previous governments -- Thaci government and government Mustafa.
Such a thing is unacceptable, and no action will in any way be able to live through these agreements, which have ended powerful civic resistance, part of which was once also Haradinaj himself, who has already become the tool of PDK and List Srpska.
MPs Albin Kurti, Albulen Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi must be released as soon as possible and the political process against them is over. The Kosovo government and the packed courts with corrupt judges cannot violate Kosovo's citizenship and can't overstep citizen will.
We are strongly committed against harmful agreements for our country, and anyone who tries to revive these agreements will face even stronger civic resistance. Protection of the Republic of Kosovo is a must, so under no means will we allow its interest to be violated.
And no attempt to silence or repel Movement V It hasn't worked in the past, so much less will work now.
