Vlase in Belgrade: Kosovo could be part of Serbia under Yugoslav framework

Former senior official of the Socialist Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia, Azem Vlasi, said in Belgrade that “Kosovo could only be part of Serbia in the case of a Yugoslav framework.” At the international meeting, Belgrade's “Strategic Dialog” said it is necessary and useful to normalise Kosovo-Serbia relations, first of all, as he said, for [...]

At the international meeting, Belgrade's “Strategic Dialog” said it is necessary and useful to normalise Kosovo-Serbia relations, above all, as he said, for the benefit of Serbs living in Kosovo.

Vlasi added that relations between Belgrade and Pristina will normalise for a maximum of one and a half years, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.

Speaking at today's panel on the “Yugoslavia theme, a lost possibility or political illusion”, he was asked about Kosovo's role in the RSFJ breakup.

“We did not destroy Yugoslavia and if we wanted that, we did not have that power”, Vlasi said.

He said Kosovo may be part of Serbia while there is a Yugoslav framework, but that Kosovo's position in Serbia outside Yugoslavia was an impossible “commission”.

Former RSFJ presidency member Jugoslav Kostic said Yugoslavia represented a lost possibility and stressed the importance of <x0-fector” in its fragmentation, particularly the then ministers of Germany, Italy and Austria.

For me, there is no doubt that we can continue to live in harmony, but we were fertile land for foreigners”. While the RSFJ presidency defended Yugoslavia in Belgrade, Sarajevo, Ohrid, (Hance-Ditrih) Genccher, (Gianni) De Mikelis and Alojz) Mok finished work for Croatia and Slovenia,”, Kostic said.

He added that Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq is a guarantor that Serbia will lead a policy of co-operation and reconciliation in the region towards the future.

Prince Vladimir Karadjordevic said 1974 constitutional reforms were a knife on Yugoslavia's back, but that the breakup of that country was the common fault of all forces in RSFJ and the international community.

He said he could not speak of the blame on one side, while he told Milosevic at one time that he was neither the honest communist “, nor sincere, but opportunist”.

“Can't be said that the breakup of Yugoslavia is the fault of one man or only one side,” said Karadjordjevic./Periscopi/
