The pilot-free ship was gearing up to head towards the International Space Station (ISS) when mission control suddenly halted departure.
They spotted a small plane flying into restricted airspace near the island of Wallops. The departure will be tried again on Sunday morning a few hours later.
The cargo ship was filled with 3,356kg of food supplies, supplies, equipment and material for scientific experiments that will be sent to the space station.
The “Orbital ATK” company, which has a $1.9 billion contract with NASA to supply space station, is sharing direct updates.
At first, it is learned that the preparations went smoothly.
