“Dialogue is entering a new phase and the Federation Mogerin needs additional support, so America needs to play its role in this process,” Thaci said in an interview for Belgrade's “Remarker” portal.
He said he recently visited the US. President Michael Pense, from whom he received confirmation that Washington will actively engage in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
Their “Role is to bring more credibility, confidence and stability into the process, Thaci said.
Asked when the Serbian Communist Association would be formed, Thaci replied: the sooner, the better, in line with Kosovo's laws, and that is the international obligation”.
He called on all Serbs who fled to return to Kosovo.
“We will do everything in terms of our political power to accommodate Serbs and integrate into Kosovo society”, Thaci said.
He added that the invitation for Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq to visit Pristina is “always open”.
Speaking of forming the KLA war crimes tribunal, he said establishing that court was a “an unpopular act in Kosovo“. /Periscopi/
