The Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors (QKRMT), under the mandate to promote respect for the rights of those deprived of freedom, today organises the “Advancing criminal justice in protecting human rights”.
This table is implemented in the context of activities the CRC undertakes to promote reforms in Kosovo's penal and corrective system, in the prospect of protecting human rights for persons deprived of freedom-finding and documenting cases of mistreatment in countries of deprivation of freedom.
The table aims to gather representatives of the central and local criminal justice institutions, as well as international ones in Kosovo, to discuss the current state of criminal justice, the challenges of the judicial system and the need to reform criminal justice in Kosovo.
KRCMM's monitoring activity in Kosovo's judicial system is enabled thanks to the KRCMT co-operation agreement with the Kosovo Judiciary Council.
