The two candidates and the only two options for women to lead in one of Kosovo's 28 municipalities have expired today.
In the second round of local elections, Mimoza Kusari-Lila and Valdete Idrizi have lost the race against candidates Ardian Gjini and Agim Bahtir.
Mimoza Kusari-Lila, who had held the post of mayor of the Gjakova municipality, failed to win more than 18 thousand and 791 votes, or 46.51%. As long as its counterCandidate Ardian Gjini won 21 thousand and 607 votes, or 53.49% of the vote.
While Valdete Idrizi, in the run-off, suffered deep losses, failing to get more than 12,000 and 84 votes, or 42.67%. While her counterCandid, Agim Bahtiri received 16 thousand and 233 votes, or 57.33%, writes Insader.
