Serbia continues to treat war criminals as “model” that must be followed by new generations. They have also been rehabilitated in top positions.

Finally, Serbian war general Vladimir Lazarevic held his first lecture before the Cadets of the Military Academy in Belgrade, with the theme “heroism and humanity of Serbian soldiers during operations against terrorists in Kosovo in 1998-1999 and NATO bombings in Yugoslavia”, writes today “Koha Ditore”.

Retired General Lazarevic, who was hosted as a hero after returning from prison in 2015, was sentenced by The Hague Tribunal to 15 years in prison for command responsibility for war crimes in Kosovo. He before the Academy was hosted by the Toga of Honor with high honours and flags.

The “take what you get, it was professional, and for me sentimental”, it was quoted as declaring after legalising the Serbian general. It becomes known that the Pristina Corps Commander's lecture was attended by his war partner, currently chief of Serbian Army Sponsor General Lubisa Dikovic, as well as other Serbian Army superiors
