The first-instance decision will be made by The Hague Tribunal for accused Ratko Mladic, former commander of the Republika Srpska Army.
Mladic has been charged with genocide over 7,000 Muslims from Srebrenica, over the persecution of Muslims and Croats throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, terrorising the Sarajevo population and removing UN's “blue antidotes”.
The young man shook his head during the presentation of the Srebrenica Ori. He smiled when the panel declared that following decisions signed by Karadzic and Mladic there was a clear goal that Srebrenica should be “brazet” and transform into Serbian territory.
The Republika Srpska military approved a plan to close the enclave and the territory became Serb by force removal of Muslims and was ordered to create a situation without any hope of surviving the Srebrenica population”, the chairman said.
The chamber is considering the indictment regarding Srebrenica.
The Chamber stresses that there has been proven a non-discreet murder of civilians in Sarajevo, that citizens lived in a dangerous constant situation, and that “whenever they left home, they should wonder if they were on sniper target”.
A total of 530 days have been tried, with a total of 591 witnesses, of whom 377 appeared in the courtroom. There's a total of 9,914 evidence.
We remember that Mladic first appeared before the tribunal at The Hague in July 2011, when he was not convicted and on his behalf, the court decided to plead the blame. The trial officially began a year later, on May 16th.
