The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kadri Veselin, in line with the decision that has been made at the Assembly of the Steering Council of this party subject on July 29, 2017, and in line with the PDK Status, from today declares the party's internal elections.
Kosovo's “Democratic Party invites all of its structures, through branches, subs and sections, to begin preparations for organising domestic elections. This party subject, invites all its membership, all citizens, in particular young people and women, to join the vision of the Democratic Party and to participate in these elections, which will be held in the weeks and months ahead,”, says a statement.
“The PDK remains a leader in many changes, in bringing new figures to the political scene, professional people, as well as the space it has given to women and young people, and will continue even more strongly in the upcoming constitutional Convention”, it is said.
But, PDK's Chief General of Election Staff, Abelard Tahiri, has denied to admit that such a move has started after losing in the second round of local elections, where the PDK out of the 10 municipalities in which it was in the runoff won in only four.
It will now lead in total with Ferizaj, Kacanik, Enhence, Drenas and Dragash. The bail vote count for the winner to finally be decided is expected in Dragash.
