The Constitutional Court in Pristina has continued for another 30 days the measure of house arrest, Kosovo Parliament MP Mialim Zeka.
His lawyer, Gazmend Halilaj, has confirmed this on Indescsonline, who has said that this was reported today by the Court and that the verdict was taken outside the court hearing.
This is inconsistent with the law of law.
“Iou has continued for 30 days the house arrest measure, but this has been done contrary to the procedure's provisions because the arrest measure was continued without his presence at the tribunal, meaning outside the court hearing, the goal means that we have violations of the provision of the procedure with absolute character”, he said.
Also, according to Halilaj, there have been violations of the party's provision of inequality.
“Posts that have not actually met the conditions to continue his move, we also have violations of the provision due to the equality of the parties. So the court is favouring only one side, in this case the special prosecutor, while unable to protect my defense to present his objections at the hearing with prosecutors' claims”, he added.
However, he announces that within the legal deadline they will file complaints at the Kosovo Appeals Court, hoping that the latter will be able to repair the work of the First Century Court.
