Neither the EU Mission for Sundiction of Law (EULEX) nor European Union officials have dismissed finding that the European judges to Kosovo defendants are referred to as animals.
Meanwhile, former head of EULEX judges, Malcolm Simmons, is ready to come to Kosovo to witness the mission's major irregularities, particularly in the “Drenica 2” case.
RTK's recent research, in which serious allegations of abuses were cast on the biggest European mission in Pristina, in particular in the case of “Drenica 2”, has prompted reactions of top European Union representatives. EU Foreign Affairs and Security Policy spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic has not denied any published facts.
Before this autumn, Simmons has raised no doubt. It is unnecessary to say that if he was aware of these charges in advance, he should have reacted, especially in his role as president of EULEX judges. If, for example, he wanted to provide evidence for every court in Kosovo, he could have done so by following clear procedures that exist for such cases”, she has said, adding that Simmons has refused to be part of an initial investigation following his accusations.
But the evidence provided by RTK is different. According to documents that public television possesses, Simmons was threatened by the EULEX management when he tried to bring testimony to the Supreme Court for major abuses of the mission, at least in the “Drenica 2” case.
There is also evidence that Simmons did not respond only in autumn of this year, but that his reports started years ago.
Otherwise, documents prove that Malcolm Simmons is still willing to report all his findings on abuse of the mission.
