Over three studies conducted by Albert E. Mannes, 59 participants have been shown pictures of a man with hair, and another one with no hair, after the photo processing.
He found that the male's hairless version gave the most dominant, male and confidential impression, longer and stronger than it is currently.
In fact, a head with no hair is perceived a few inches more. In other words, without hair, a complete bald head was seen as less attractive and weak.
Mannes points out in the study what these traits show, especially the dominant, is a clue of how successful the person is.
