The American magazine Time is involved in a misunderstanding with President Donald Trump. The day before, the head of Washington declared through his Twitter account that the magazine had called him to communicate that he would likely be declared “The Man of the Year” for 2017.
But Time itself rejected the president's story and claimed he rejected the request for an interview and photo session, claiming the president was inaccurate.
The title “The Man of the Year” is part of Time magazine tradition, initiated in 1927.
This title recognizes the person who “, for better or worse... has most impacted the events of the year”, broadcasts the Oranews. The publication invites readers to vote for the person who may have won the honor of being the most influential person, but in the end, it is the editors of the magazine who make the final decision.
