Tafa Murseli and Arben Shala, two police officials have been sentenced today by the Constitutional Court in Pristina for taking bribes.
The court sentenced Mursel and Shala to 6 months in prison, which they could turn into fines of 3600 euros.
The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina accused police officials Tafa Murseli and Arben Shala that in February 2014 on the “Nation's witnesses” in Pristina, they have not fulfilled their official duties.
According to the indictment, on that day these two police officials accepted a 100-euro bribe from S. B. not to open a criminal case against him.
S. B. in February 2014, while driving in drunk mode, had caused an accident in Pristina.
