According to the ASS, the upgrade was largely neutralised by the drop in consumer prices in COICOP sub-groups: tree -3.9%, transport service -6.1%, falling the price of plane tickets with a common impact of these subgroups -0.2% in IHCK.
The estimated inflation rate in October 2017 with October 2016 was 0.9%. The overall harmonised consumer prices index is higher by 0.9% in October 2017, compared to October 2016.
This is largely explained with some changes in prices of articles and services in COICOP groups and subgroups.
The rise of consumer prices is noted in sub-groups: bread and cereal 2.9%, meat 0.7%, milk, cheese and eggs 1.9%, oils and fats 3.4%, trees 10.7%, coffee, tea and cocoa 9.9%, mineral water, non-alcohol drinks, juices from trees and vegetables 1.2%, tobacco 7.3%, use of equipment for personal transport 2.2%, rising oil and gasoline prices, with a common impact of these 1.3 subs in the IHCK.
The upgrade was largely neutralised by the fall of prices in this sub-group period: electricity, gas and other fuels -3.4%, the fall of the electricity price in October 2017 for -9.5%, compared to the winter tariffs of October 2016, the purchase of vehicles -1.5%, the transport service -4.3%, the drop in the price of tickets, audio-visual equipment, the information processing photo -6.5%, with a common impact of these subgroups -04% ICH.
